Announcing the Ballot for 2008-2009 KY-TN WEA Officers |

The ballot has been set for the KY-TN WEA Chapter officers for 2008-2009! Pursuant to the constitution and by-laws of the KY-TN WEA, official ballots will be sent via mail to all members in good standing. After you receive your ballot, please mail by July 11, 2008 or bring it with you to the Water Professionals Conference and turn it in at the designated box by Sunday, July 20, 2008. We are pleased to announce the following candidates for consideration: Tennessee Vice President Candidates for 2008-2009: | Jill E. Davis, PE 1991 Graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a BS in Civil Engineering. Began career working with the Tennessee Department of Water Pollution Control in the Chattanooga Office. In 1998, transferred to TDEC’s Division of Superfund and eventually became the division’s Chattanooga Field Office Manager. In 2001 left TDEC to become the Superintendent of Water and Wastewater for the Athens Utilities Board in Athens, TN. In 2005 was recognized with TWWA’s James F. Pilkin Excellence in Wastewater Collection System Management Award. Member of the Tennessee Water Quality Board since 2004. Significant accomplishments within AUB during tenure include: The renovation of our 2.8 MGD WWTP into a 6 MGD WWTP; we have transformed a 240 connection gravity wastewater basin into grinder pump and low pressure force main; we have removed more than 3.0 MGD of I/I through multiple rehabilitation projects. Our North Mouse Creek WWTP has continued to be awarded the Operational Excellence award and our newly renovated Oostanaula Creek WWTP has been awarded its first ever Operational Excellence Award along with TWWA’s wastewater plant award. At the same time, our Water Division has grown more than 50 linear miles, been awarded TWWA’s water plant award, replaced two 1 MGD reservoirs with a 2 MGD reservoir, employed a water and wastewater SCADA system and system-wide GIS. |  | Leanne Scott, PE Leanne Scott has worked for Metro Water Services for 21 years – 4 years in the treatment plants, 6 years in the distribution / collection systems and 11 years in engineering planning. She is currently a Senior Engineer responsible for the Flow Monitoring / Hydraulic Modeling, Master Planning, Water Infrastructure Rehabilitation and Operations Support areas of MWS. Leanne is a registered professional engineer in the State of Tennessee and holds Grade 4 Water Treatment Operator, Grade 2 Water Distribution Operator and Grade 2 Wastewater Collection Operator licenses. She is a member of the Water Environment Association and the American Waterworks Association. She has served as Tennessee co-chair of the KY-TN WEA Collection Systems Committee since 2004 and has served on the Local Arrangements Committee and the Technical Program Committee. She received her B. S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Tech University and her Masters degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee. Leanne has been married to Joe for 21 years and has 2 children, Rachel – 16 and Andrew – 13. | |
